COVID Safety
During this time of COVID, safety is important. Riverside is taking all safety precautions necessary to keep both the teachers and children safe. Each morning each child and teacher has their temperatures taken upon arrival. Teachers are wearing masks during the day and children are not interacting with any children that are not in their class. Riverside cleans each classroom, toys and all other equipment, up to the CDC standards at the end of each day.

Our Staff
The staff of Riverside is here to ensure every child always feels secure and comfortable. Every day our goal is to help each child learn to use all of their senses, develop strong language skills and learn how to interact positively with other children and adults.

The center is run by our director, Carolyn Bierley and is governed by a board composed of both church and non-church members.

"As soon as we walked in the door, we knew RUMCCC was the place for our son- the teachers show such amazing patience and love for all the kids."

The mission of Riverside
Riverside recognizes the home as the primary factor in a child's development. It is the goal of our center to supplement the care of a child while away from home.  We work closely with parents to ensure every child reaches his or her maximum potential.  Each child is unique and important to us. We provide a loving, caring, and nurturing environment to support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of every child.

Our Facility

Our 8 classroom facility, housed in the back of Riverside United Methodist Church is a clean, bright environment that is both safe and stimulating for your child. We strive to maintain toys and equipment that are both appropriate and fun for each classroom. Outside the classrooms we offer a large motor skills area, outdoor playgrounds, and a garden for physical development, learning, and socialization opportunities.
